Winford Glenn "Bud" Emory, Sr., 79, of 1 Bluebird Lane, died Saturday, April 5th, 2008 at his residence. He was born on March 30, 1929 in Caroleen, N. C. was the son of the late Claude Mack and Ida Mahaffey Emory and was the husband of Jessie Lynch Emory. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Landrum and had retired from Inman Mills.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Winford Glenn Emory, Jr. and wife Hilda, Mack Emory and wife Sherry, five daughters, Esther Renfro and husband John, Jeannie Harris and husband Quinton, Christine Smith and husband Bobby, Marlene Goode and Norma Nix and husband Todd, a brother, Willard Emory, four sisters, Maxine Strickland, Merle Foster, Shirley Lockhart and Margaret O'Shields, thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, He was predeceased by a son, Ronald Emory, three brothers, J. C. Emory, Boyce Lee Emory and Claude Mack Emory, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7, 2008 at 3:00 P. M. at Bible Baptist Church in Landrum, S. C. with Revs. Tommy Turner, Wayne Bradley and John Renfro conducting the services.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Christine Smith at 135 Burnt Chimney Rd. , Campobello, and will receive friends today, Sunday, April 6, 2008 from 3:00 to 5:00 P. M. at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman.
