Windy Patricia Golightly, 35, wife of Darrell Golightly of 32 Bishop Street in Inman died suddenly Sunday morning, October 8, 2007. A native of Hendersonville, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Lorna Patricia Ramsey. Windy was a homemaker, a baptist, school volunteer, and was very active and dedicated as a sports mom. She was a 1990 graduate of Chapman High School.
In addition to her loving husband Darrell, she is survived by two cherished sons, Stephen R. and Ryan P. Golightly both of the home, two sisters, Cindy W. Williams of Wellford and Krystal Isom of Inman, two brothers, Rusty and Dusty Ward both of Inman, a grandmother, Mary Shook of Forest City, NC and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Arnold Houston Ward and Agnes K. Ward.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday October 10, 2007 at 4:00 PM at Inman First Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Paul Moore, Dr. Tim Clark, and Mrs. Linda Mills. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman.
The family is at the home of her sister, Cindy, at 250 Equestrian Trail and will receive friends 2:00-4:00 PM today in the parlor at Inman First Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the College Fund for Stephen and Ryan Golightly. Windy's strong sense of love and dedication for her family and friends will forever be the way she is remembered.
