Windell Goodwin

Inman, SC---Mrs. Windell Oneata Vassey Goodwin, 87, formerly of 107 East Main Street, Inman went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Ashlan Village Assisted Living.
A native of Chesnee, SC, she was born on January 24, 1927, a daughter of the late Thomas Clinton and Oneata (Fagan) Vassey and was the wife of the late Mr. Charles Wesley Goodwin.
Mrs. Goodwin retired from Milliken Research where she worked as a supervisor for many years, and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church where she taught the Faith Sunday School Class for 46 years.
She is survived by two children, Roger Goodwin (Libby) of Boiling Springs, SC and Nita Rolen (Rich) of Campobello, SC; one sister, Ramona Bridges of Shelby, NC; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie Peeler, Meg Cooksey and Carmen Johnson and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Goodwin was predeceased by a brother, Aldon Vassey and a sister, Marion J. Vassey.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Seawright Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Millwood officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC.
The family of Mrs. Goodwin would like to thank Piedmont Hospice and the entire Staff of Ashlan Village for the loving care given to Mrs. Goodwin.
