Wilma Belcher Humphries, 80, of 300 Mason Road, Inman, passed away Wednesday, November 27th, 2013.
She was born in Spartanburg County on January 20, 1933, a daughter of the late Lois Clayton Belcher and Clifton Belcher. She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church. She retired from Butte Knitting Mills and later worked at Plastic Injectors and most recently at Dollar General in Inman.
She is survived by a daughter, Lavada Burrell and husband Junior of Inman, a son, Steve Humphries of Inman, five sisters, Doris Armstrong of Greer, Jessie Southern and husband Steven of Greer, Faye Campbell and husband Vance of Greer, Martha Brown and husband Paul of Campobello, Shirley Burnette and husband Perry of Inman, grandchildren; Eric Burrell, Stephanie Pittman (Mark), Amber Humphries, Shelly Humphries, Justin Humphries, Cody Humphries, Tammy Cox, 10 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Randy and Keith Humphries, three brothers, Robert, Frankie, and Louie Belcher, and one sister, Geraldine Cook.
Funeral services will be held at Walnut Hill Baptist Church at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 30th, with Rev. Ansel Norris and Rev. Brent Brown officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at the home of her daughter at 280 Windmill Hill Road, Inman and will receive friends Saturday, immediately following the service, in the church sanctuary. The family would like to give special thanks to Christina Hughes, Brenda Babb, and Beth Solesbee for the wonderful hospice care given to Mrs. Humphries.
