Wilma Burrell Fowler

Wilma Jane Burrell Fowler, 88, of 32-3rd. Street, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, SC.
Wilma was born in Forest City, NC on March 26, 1930, and was a daughter of the late Adam Giles and Robbie England Burrell. She was the beloved wife of David Fowler and was a retired quality assurance inspector at a lawn maintenance equipment manufacturing company. She was a longtime member of Little Mountain Baptist Church and served faithfully in many departments in the church including Sunday School teacher.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Roberta Smith of the home, two sisters, Sybil Hill of Rutherfordton, NC, Christine Smith of Worton, MD, one brother, Rev. Glen Burrell of Mars Hill, NC, and one granddaughter, Amy Sprouse and her husband Barry of Chesnee, SC. She was predeceased by a sister, Connie Abrams.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM in the Little Mountain Baptist Church Sanctuary. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 PM conducted by Rev. Doug Godfrey. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
