Spartanburg, SC--- Wilma D. Clayton, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Born in Lexington, SC on May 4, 1930, a daughter of the late Frank and Nora Agnes (Koon) Derrick and was the wife of the late William Gowan Clayton, Jr. Mrs. Clayton was a member of United Baptist Church and retired as a seamstress with Butte Knit and later Zelano's.

She is survived by a son, William G. "Bill" Clayton III and his wife Jane of Gramling, SC; two daughters, Renee C. Love and her husband Lowry of Hickory Grove, SC and Alison C. Fowler and her husband Chris of Charlotte, NC along with six grandchildren, Melissa, Lauren, Jay, Morgan, Jessica, and Clayton, and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by one sister, Virginia (Derrick) Medley.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Emory. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC.
