Willie Mae Roper Yother, 96, of White Oak Manor died Sunday, August 2nd, 2009 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, SC
Mrs. Yother was born in Inman, S.C. on January 29, 1913, the widow of Henry Yother and the daughter of the late James and Carrie (Huntsinger) Roper.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Boiling Springs, SC and had worked as a head cook in the restaurant business. Survivors include a niece, Pauline Gosnell and a great niece, Brenda Howell both of Inman and a God Child, Pam Skarda of Baltimore, Md. She was predeceased by a sister, Myrtle Cartee and a brother, Melvin Roper.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Home Chapel 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5th, with Revs. Terry Howell and Jonathan McPeters officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff of Spartanburg Regional and the Regional Hospice Home for their kindness and care they gave to Mrs. Yother.
The family is at their respective homes.
