Mr. Willie Clyde Gantt, 79, of 192 Dillard Street, Arcadia passed away Sunday, August 28th, 2011 at Woodruff Manor, Woodruff, SC.
Mr. Gantt was born in Easley, SC on January 15, 1932, the son of the late Mack Duff and Dora (Hendricks) Gantt and was the husband of Lois (Owens) Gantt having celebrated 61 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 daughters: Gail Elder and husband Robert, Karen Pearson and husband Donnie, Linda Navy, all of Inman, one son: Larry Joe Gantt of the home, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He worked as a plumber and electrician, was of the Baptist Faith and served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War.
The family is at the home of his daughter, 117 Sonora Drive, Inman and will receive friends Tuesday at Seawright Funeral Home from 11 :00 AM to 1 :00 PM.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens with Rev David Bosler officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Woodruff Manor, Palliative Care, 1114 E Georgia Rd, Woodruff, SC 29320.
