Willie Mae Cannon

Mrs.Willie "Billie" Mae Cannon age 92, of Jacksonville and formerly Keystone Heights passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013. She was born in Inman, South Carolina January 30, 1921 to the late Stanyarne Wilson and Fannie Irene (Cothran) Brittain. Mrs. Cannon was a State Registered Nurse giving Jacksonville City Health Department 21 years of her dedicated service. In 1972 she had moved to Keystone Heights where she continued her career as a State Registered Nurse working at the Bradford County Health Department 7 ½ years and 11 years with the Florida State Prison. Mrs. Cannon was a member of the University Baptist Church in Jacksonville and the Florida Nurses Association. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Earl Cannon; and siblings, Frank Brittain, Ruby Luke, and Lula B. Melton. Survivors are her son Robert Earl Luke his wife Susan; brother, Larry Brittain his wife, Judy; two grandchildren; Logan Luke and Brandon Luke; nieces and nephews; Pam Wagner, Janet Smith her husband Dave, Gary Luke his wife Jeannie, Bill Luke, and many great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cannon will be having a Graveside service Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, South Carolina.
