Inman, SC---William "Frank" Turner, Jr. 74, of Valley High Dr. passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at Eden Terrace in Spartanburg, SC. Born in Union, SC on October 24, 1941, a son of the late Ida Nell (Smith) and William Frank Turner, Sr. and was the husband of Beverly (Meserole) Turner.
Mr. Turner was a graduate of Wofford College with a degree in counseling and accounting. He was a member of Hope Church and served in the SC National Guard. Frank worked as an accountant with Mayfair Mills for many years and also worked as a drug counselor with the Spartanburg Methadone Clinic. In addition to his wife Beverly, he is survived by four sons, Kevin Turner (Krisie) of Lexington, SC; Phillip Turner of Greenville, SC and Bradford Turner (Tom Catoe) of Greenville, SC and Bradley Shelton of Spartanburg, SC; one daughter, Wendy Jarvis (Mike) of Spartanburg, SC along with six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Ann Henderson. Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd. Spartanburg, SC, at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 25, 2016 with Rev. Jan King officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Church Building Fund, 6655 Pottery Road Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home.
