William A. (W.A.) Thomas
Cross Hill, SC--Mr. William Andrew (W.A.) Thomas, 77 of 749 McCrary Road, Cross Hill, SC passed away Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Regional Hospice Home.
Mr. Thomas was born in Greenwood, SC the son of the late Mr. Grover Cleveland Thomas and Nora Pearl (McAbee) Thomas.
He is survived by one son, Bruce Thomas of Spartanburg; two daughters, Dawn Thomas of Simpsonville, Leslie Thomas Howard, of Lyman; two grandchildren; Kyle J. Costanzo of Minot, ND and Kurt J. Constanzo of Greenville;four great grandchildren; a beloved niece, Pamela Hackmeyer and husband, Michael; two nephews, Christopher and Casey Hackmeyer of Mobile, Ala. His beloved friends Joyce Thomas, and Johnny and Katie Wofford of Spartanburg also survive him. He was predeceased by his sister, Hazel Bearden.
Mr. Thomas owned Thomas Crown and Bridge Dental Laboratory for 35 years. He was multi-talented with many gifts and talents. He designed and made jewelry, and was a gunsmith. In his retirement he was a Master Craftsman and owned Thomas Wood Works. He was a good and humble man with an incredible sense of humor. All who knew him loved him and he will be greatly missed.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 10AM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg, SC conducted by Rev. Barry Snead, pastor of Drayton Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
