William Gerald Terry
William Gerald Terry, 74, of 1157 Hannon Road, Inman, SC, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at his home. Gerald was born in Pennington Gap, Virginia on February 5, 1940, a son of the late Ada Lee (Terry) Bass and was the step-son of the late Furman Bass. He was the husband of Elizabeth "Lib" (Moore) Terry having celebrated 54 years of marriage. He retired from Startex Mills and O.P. Earle Elementary School. Mr Terry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Campobello where he was a deacon and RA leader. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Sue Glenn (Stan) of Seneca, SC, Mollie Campbell (Jon) of Central, SC, two sons, Wayne Terry (Joye) of Lexington, SC, Scott Terry of Boiling Springs, daughter-in-law, Lee Terry of Campobello, grandchildren, Joshua Terry, Caleb Terry, Kirstie Carroll, Nick Carroll, Simeon Lord, Josiah Lord, Anna Grace Lord, Eliana Lord, Isaiah Glenn, Jonah Terry, Micah Terry, Mary Taylor Campbell, Daniel Campbell, great grandson, Isaac William Carroll, siblings, Shannon Ridings (Gene), Gerald Moore (Amelia), Agnes Chapman (Dean), Mae Melton, and Ronald Frost (Jackie). He was predeceased by a daughter, Bernice Terry and in-laws, Ernest and Mary Moore. The family is at the home and will receive friends Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Campobello. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 9th, with Rev Wayne Terry, Rev Michael Bragg and Rev Stan Glenn officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Campobello, PO Box 205, Campobello, SC 29322 for capital improvement projects.
