Mr. William E. "Bill" Shockley, 64, of 1481 Ballenger Rd. Wellford died Thursday, March 25th, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center from leukemia.
He was a 1972 graduate of The University of South Carolina and was the CEO of Carolina Cable TV.
Mr. Shockley was a member of Skylyn United Methodist Church and had served in the Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Shockley of the home, a son, Matt Shockley and his wife Angie of Canaan Valley, West Virginia, a daughter, Christy Taylor and her husband Bobby of Wellford, four grandchildren, Clay Shockley, Bo Shockley, Will Wright, Lilly Wright, his mother, four brothers, and his dog, Boomer.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 4:00pm at the Seawright Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Jim Carter, Rev. George McDowell, and Charm Altman. The family is at the home and will receive friends 2:00 until 4:00 Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Skylyn United Methodist Church, 1415 Skylyn Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29307.
