William Bob Rodgers

William Robert "Bob" Rodgers, Sr, 80, of 111 Walden Circle, Spartanburg, SC, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr Rodgers was born in Rockwood, TN. on December 11, 1938, a son of the late Phoeba Frances (Howard) Rodgers and William Houston Rodgers. He was a graduate of Limestone College and was the husband of Connie Jean (Bailey) Rodgers and was first married to the late Judy Davenport Rodgers.
He retired from Abbott Laboratories and Wilson Sporting Goods in Simpsonville, SC, and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he was a member of the Ambassador Sunday School Class. Mr Rodgers was a devoted and dedicated 32nd Degree Mason in Masonic Lodge #413 having served in numerous capacities.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Kaydra Threlkeld (Kevin), of Simpsonville, SC; two sons William R "Butch" Rodgers, Jr. (Susan), of Moore, SC; Don Rodgers (Lisa), of Moore, SC; step-son, Shane Thompson (Jennifer) of Fairforest, SC, two sisters, Jo Ann Emory (Robert), of Kingston, TN; Judy Smith, of Rockwood, TN, 7 grandchildren, 5 great, grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and his beloved pet, Molly.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 12 Noon - 2:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 26th at Seawright Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rob Gouge and Rev. Carrol Caldwell officiating. Masonic Rites will be in the chapel at the end of the service. Burial will be in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens in Wellford, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605-4277.
