William Fred Nation
William Fred Nation, 88, of 24 Bishop Street, Inman, SC, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg. Fred was born in Inman, S.C. on June 1, 1933, a son of the late Annie (James) Nation and J. D. Nation. He was the husband of Sue Gowan Nation and retired from Norfolk - Southern Railroad
He was a member of Inman United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by two sons, Steve Nation and his wife, Cindy, of Lawrenceville, GA; Bill Nation and his wife, Vicki, of Chattanooga, TN; a sister, Florine Clayton, of Greer, SC, 5 grandchildren, William "Trey" Nation (Hannah) , Heather Nation Hess (Dave), Lauren Nation Harrison (Andrew), Lindsay Nation Sketch (Taylor), Elise Nation and 5 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman, SC with Rev Ed Stallworth officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inman United Methodist Church, 27 Bishop St., Inman, SC 29349.
