Campobello--- William Rivers Hall, 97, of 25 Cedar Hill Drive, went to sleep in Jesus Monday, August 24, 2015 at his residence. A native of Wadley, Georgia, he was a son of the late James and Fannie Maude Rivers Hall. Mr. Hall was a former chief engineer with Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and retired as an engineer with the University of South Carolina Upstate. He was a member of the Daytona Beach Seventh Day Adventist Church in Florida and was an avid golfer. Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Lois Fredrick Truesdale Hall of the home and her entire family; which he thought of as his own and many close friends who loved him dearly. Rivers was predeceased by his first wife, Martha Madeirah Murphy Hall and his son, Dr. William Alden Hall. The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: ADRA ( Adventist Development and Relief Agency ) 12501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD. 20904. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Spartanburg Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1217 John B. White, Sr. Blvd., Spartanburg.
