William Eugene Brooks

Mr. William E. "Buddy" Brooks, Jr, 75, of 1 Clover Street died Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Brooks was born in Spartanburg on June 7, 1935, the son of the late William Eugene and Mae Sloan Brooks. He retired from Springs Industries and he attended Inman First Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, William Benson Brooks of the home, three step sons, David Elswick, Chris Alsmer, Tim Alsmer, and a step-daughter, Tonya Alsmer.
A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Home Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 11:00am with Rev. Earl Hendrix officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to Spartanburg Humane Society 150 Dexter Rd. Spartanburg, SC 29303.
