William " Brent" Barnette, Sr.
William Brent Barnette, Sr., 66, of 15 B Street, Inman, SC, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Brent was born in Spartanburg, SC on June 4, 1950 a son of Margaret Alleen (Cochran) Barnette, of Inman and the late Frank Barnette. Brent graduated from Spartanburg Technical College. He was the husband of 40 years of Julie (Boyce) Barnette, was a master craftsman with Barnette & Son Construction and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church. He also served in the South Carolina National Guard. In addition to his wife and mother survivors include a daughter, Polly Aileen Barnette (Jeremy), of Inman; a son, William Brent Barnette, Jr. (Kelli), of Inman; a sister, Emily Burns, of Campobello; two brothers, Roger Barnette, of Greenwood; Frankie Barnette, of Inman, five grandchildren, Coley Cresap, Presley Steadman, Jaxon Steadman, Brinley Barnette and Wyatt Barnette and his loving mother-in-law, Polly Boyce of Inman and brother-in-law, Barry Boyce. He was predeceased by his father-in -law, Robert Boyce. The family is at 9A Street, Inman and will receive friends Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel at 3:00 PM with Rev Jeff Cochran and Mr Ray Rogers, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
