Mr. William "Billy" Taylor Barnette, 79, of 345 Southfield Street, Inman passed away Friday, September 25th, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Barnette was born in Inman on June 28, 1930 and was the son of the late Will and Emily Raines Barnette and was the widower of Marlene Ward Barnette.
He was a paint contractor and a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of The American Legion Post #45 and The Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by three daughters, Carol Burnett and her husband Bruno of Inman, Pam Barnette and Mary Ellen Barnette both of Inman, two sisters, Doris Trout of Chesnee and Frances Jewell of Spartanburg, a grandson, Billy Burnett and his wife Tammy of Inman, and a great grandson, Dylan Burnett of Inman.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Sunday 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Inman Mills Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at Inman Mills Baptist Church at 2:00pm on Sunday, September 27th, conducted by Rev. Jack Hames. Burial will follow in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Inman Mills Baptist Church Building Fund or to Inman First Baptist Church Building Fund.
