William "Paul" Babb

 William "Paul" Babb, 86, of Inman, SC, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Lake Wood Assisted Living. Paul was born in Inman, S.C. on March 17, 1937, a son of the late Gertrude (Sims) and William Fred Babb. He is survived by a daughter, Tammy Taylor and her husband Hugh; four sisters, Shirley Nodine, Earlene Morris, Kathleen Collins, and Ruth Evington; a brother, Furman Babb; two granddaughters, Caroline Taylor and her husband Eric Richard, and Kathryn Taylor and her fiance' Chaz Cain; and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his wife, Sylvia Teague Babb; and a daughter Kelly Babb; two sisters: Frances Paulos, and Mildred Mawhirter, and five brothers: Alvin Babb, Glyn Babb, Edward Babb, George Babb, and Johnny Babb.

He was a self-employed paint contractor and attended Inman Mills Baptist Church. Paul loved his work, being outside, and most of all, his family.  He loved to tell stories about his childhood and growing up with his brothers and sisters on the farms where they lived. He enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his granddaughters who he was so very proud of. He was kind, thoughtful, generous and funny.  He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 1:45 PM funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC with Rev. Sean Fortner officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
