Wesley Morrrow Mason, 81, of 306 Old Burnett Road, Inman, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 at Spartanburg Medical Center, after a long and hard fought battle of ten years. Wesley was born in Boiling Springs on August 17, 1936, a son of the late Rose Lee Smith Mason and Johnny Dexter Mason. He was the husband of Annie Lou Smalley Mason and was first married to the late Marjorie Young Mason. He was a member of the Boiling Springs High School graduating class of 1956 and served in the Army National Guard, B Battery, 1-178th field artillery unit. He retired from Spartan Mills and was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing and camping, particularly at Lake Greenwood, and loved to work in his garden. He was a member of Fingerville First Baptist Church, where he was also a member of the Goal Reachers Sunday School Class.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son; Hank Mason (Suzan) of Boiling Springs, two daughters; Sharon Young (Michael) of Boiling Springs, Lynne Garrett (Mike) of Inman, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one on the way. In addition to his first wife, he was also predeceased by three brothers; James D., JC, and Lewis Mason and two sisters; Guynetta Bishop and Genieva Prince. The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday 11:00 am until 11:45 am at Fingerville First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Fingerville First Baptist Church at 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 19th, with Rev. Andy Case and Rev. Ronald Smalley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family wants to add their sincere appreciation for the care shown by Dr. Eric Cole, Dr. Farhan Siddiqui, and Alyssa Zalar, NP.
