Wayne Thomas Hall

Duncan, SC---Wayne Thomas Hall, 80, of 107 Holly Drive went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Born in Harlingen, TX on September 26, 1936, he was the son of the late Joseph Dudley Hall and Marvis Eleene (Strohmeyer) Hall. Wayne was the loving husband of Brenda Owiana (Chapman) Hall having celebrated 54 years of marriage. He served in the United States Army, was a truck driver with Overnight Trucking and was a member of Green Point Baptist Church, where he was a member of the choir. In addition to his wife, Brenda, he is also survived by three daughters, Robin Guy of the home, Lena Sizemore (Scott) of Wellford, SC and Linda Sage (David) of Inman, SC; three sisters, Lulu Walker (Walter) of Campobello, SC, Fay Marie Searcy (Bobby) of Columbus, NC and Inez Jackson (David) of Tryon, NC along with 11 grandchildren, Summer Guy, Michael Guy, Ethan Guy, Trevor Guy, Celena Courchaine, Brooke Sizemore, Anthony Sage, Shawn Sage, Emma Sage, Taylor Sage and River Sage and 9 great-grandchildren, Ryan McDowell, Shaunna McDowell, Jacob McDowell, Makenzie Hernandez, Madeline Brewington, Tenley Guy, Anistyn Guy, Albree Guy and Emory Guy. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by one daughter and one brother, Joseph Dudley Hall, Jr. The family will receive friends at Seawright Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Green Point Baptist Church with Dr. David Lancaster, Rev. Reid Cooper and Rev. Alan Blanton officiating. The burial will be in Broad River Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton, NC with military rites by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association SC Chapter, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621 or Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
