Mr. Walter Charlie Garrett, Jr, 58 of 665 Hannon Road, Inman, SC went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 28th, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Garrett was born in Spartanburg, SC on January 22, 1953, the son of the late Walter Charlie Garrett, Sr and Willie Mae (Solesbee) Garrett who survives him of Wellford. He was the husband of Glenda Faye (Swaney) Garrett having celebrated 38 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by 2 daughters: Jennifer Michelle Perry of Inman, Amanda Leigh Lynch of Campobello, 2 sisters: Jean Spicer, Sandra Garrett, 2 brothers: Victor Wayne Garrett, Wally Garrett, all of Inman and 5 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister: Nancy Mills.
He retired from SJWD after 9 years service and was formerly employed at Milliken Chemicals for 23 years and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Friday 1:30 - 3 :00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1, 2011 at 3 :00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Dr Tim Clark and Rev Barry Neely officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
