Inman, SC---Mr. Walter "Walt" Preston Burrell, 65, of 6205 New Cut Road Inman, SC went to be with our Lord Tuesday, October 12th, 2010 at Regional Hospice Home, Spartanburg, SC.
Mr. Burrell was born in Landrum, SC on October 29, 1944, the son of the late Preston and Josephine (Greene) Burrell.
He leaves his wife of 47 years: Linda Hurt Burrell, his daughter Angie Gentry, who he was so very proud of, 2 beautiful grandchildren: J T & Amber, 2 sisters: Linda Godfrey and husband J.B. of Landrum, Evelyn Chavis of Campobello, 3 brothers: Herman Burrell and wife Rita of Inman, Lewis Burrell and wife Connie of Inman, Randall Burrell and wife Donna of Campobello. He was predeceased by a brother,J.W. Burrell.
He worked as a supervisor in mechanical contracting and was a member of Lake Cooley Baptist Church, Wellford, SC.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Wednesday 6:00 - 8:00PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC, at 1 :00 PM on Thursday, October 14th, with Rev Mark Cannon and Rev: Joe White officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Burrell, Trey Hicks, Chris Nix, JR Mosley, Todd Gilbert, and Stevie Foster.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
