Virginia Ophelia (Crow) Johnson, 95, passed away Tuesday evening February 25th, at Magnolia Manor of Inman. Mrs. Johnson was born in Inman, S.C. on May 24, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Albert Irvin and Martha (Fleming) Crow. She was the widow of Huey Chalmers Johnson and was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church for over 84 years. She had retired from textiles.
Survivors include a daughter, Ophelia Bishop of Inman, three sons, Gene Johnson (Jane) of Spartanburg, SC, David Johnson (Judy) of Inman and Danny Johnson (Kathy) also of Inman, a brother James Crow of Daytona Beach , Fl. and eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Crawford Crow and four sisters, Gertrude Jackson, Minnie Cartee, Mary Ellen Fowler, and Geneva Lewis.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, Feb. 27, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Wood Memorial Park, Duncan., SC , at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 28th, with the Rev. Jack Hames officiating.
