Victoria "Vicki" Dunn Hope
Mrs. Vicki Hope of 400 Webber Rd, White Oak Estates in Spartanburg, formerly of 200 Norris Road Spartanburg passed away Monday, September 7th, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center
Mrs. Hope was born in Arcadia, SC on December 13, 1919, the daughter of the late John Walker and Odessa Tappe (Ballenger) Dunn and was the widow of Samuel L Hope.
She is survived by 1 son: Michael Lee Hope and wife Nelda of Inman, and beloved granddaughter Victoria Leigh Hope, several cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was predeceased by a son: Samuel Larry Hope.
She was a member of Spartanburg Seventh Day Adventist Church. Vicki was formerly employed by Spartanburg General Hospital in the sixties and local physicians for 28 years. She was also co-owner of Hope Auto Sales with her late husband. She attended Fairforest High School and Robinsons Business College. She was a loving mother and grandmother; Victoria was the joy of her life. Vicki loved the outdoors and was an avid flower gardener. Her other interests were reading, painting, drawing, photography and music. Her ministry was helping others and sending greetings to shut-ins. She will be missed by her many friends and loved ones. The family is at the home of Michael and Nelda Hope, 302 Clevy Bush Dr., Inman and will receive friends Tuesday, September 8 at Seawright Funeral Home from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 11 :00 AM at the Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev Jerry LaFave.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Spartanburg Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1217 John B Whit Blvd., Spartanburg, SC 29301.
Burial will be in Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery, Fairforest, SC.
