Vertie Cantrell Moore

Vertie Lee Cantrell Moore, 86, of 2251 Runion Road, Inman, SC, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 at her residence.

Vertie was born in Chesnee, SC on July 13, 1937, a daughter of the late Ola (Kimbrell) Cantrell and Austin Thomas Cantrell.

She was the widow of Steve H Moore, a homemaker and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Vertie is survived by a daughter, Barbara Jones, of Inman, SC; two sons, Randy Moore, of Inman, SC; Dannie Moore, of Ellenboro, NC; a sister, Ruby McKinney, of Inman, SC; two brothers, Edward Cantrell, of Wellford, SC; Eli Cantrell, of Lyman, SC, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Chapman and a grandson, Andrew Moore.

The family is at her home and will receive friends Monday, October 16, 2023 at Seawright Funeral Home from 2:00 - 3:00 PM. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Seawright Funeral Chapel with Rev Jeremy Chapman officiating.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Greer, SC. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holly Springs Baptist Church, Operation Christmas Child, 251 Hannon Rd., Inman, SC 29349.
