Mrs. Verona Jean Mullinax Mathis, 58, of 9 C Street Inman died Tuesday, February 26th, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Mathis was born in Gaffney, S.C. on May 31, 1949, and was the daughter of the late David Willard Mullinax and Pluma Leila Gardner Mullinax who survives her of the home.
She was the loving wife of Lonnie Mathis. She was a homemaker, and a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and mother, other survivors include three daughters, Lisa Tice and her husband George of Montana, Lauren Mathis of the home, Jill Farley and her husband Tim of Columbia, a sister, Patricia Sloan and her husband Rick of Lyman, a grandson, Christopher Martin who is a student in Montana, a granddaughter Jessica Allen of Spartanburg, her special friend and companion, her chihuahua, Kinzee, nieces, Suzie White and family, Toni Tisdale and husband Robbie, and two very special friends, Carol Jonas and Trudy Vickery.
Funeral services will be held at Inman Mills Baptist Church, Inman, SC, at 2:00pm on Friday, February 29th, conducted by Rev. Jack Hames.
Burial will follow in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens in Wellford.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Friday 1:00-2:00pm. at Inman Mills Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Inman Mills Baptist Church Building Fund, 22B Street, Inman, SC 29349.
