Vernie Mae Watson Suttles, 72, of 903 Lyman Road, Inman, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 at her residence.
Vernie was born in Spartanburg on July 25, 1951, a daughter of the late Clara Mae Powell Watson and Reno Edward Watson, Sr. She was the wife of Roger Dale Suttles of the home. Vernie previously worked for International Wire/Phelps Dodge in Inman and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church.
She loved animals, and those who knew her knew she spoke from the heart, always saying exactly what she thought.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by a son, Roger Edward Suttles of Greer, two sisters, Brenda Faye Watson Chadwick of Abbeville, Patricia Ann Watson Leonard of Simpsonville, four grandchildren, Krista Mahaffey, Dylan Suttles, Casey Suttles, Roddy Suttles, and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a son, Hoss Perry Suttles, and five siblings, Nancy Watson, Benjamin Watson, Linda Watson, Reno Edward Watson Jr and Perry Smith Watson.
No services are scheduled.
