Mrs. Velma Harmon Brady, 82, of 59 Blackstock Road Inman died Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg.

Mrs. Brady was born in Spartanburg County on December 16, 1928, the daughter of the late Reuben and Vergie Horne Harmon.
She was the widow of Luther Mayes Brady having celebrated 61 years of marriage before his death.
She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters; Carolyn Parris and husband Mike of Inman, Nancy Johnson and husband Donald of Inman; one son, Randy Brady and wife Tammy of Inman; one brother, B.W. "Tex" Harmon and wife Lois of Campobello; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers; Emerson Harmon, B.G. "Jim" Harmon, E.D. "Head" Harmon, and one sister, Emma Ruth Seay.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Carolyn Parris at 421 Cobblestone Drive, Inman.
Graveside services will be held at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs at 10:00am on Friday, August 5th, with Rev. Beryl Wyatt officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Regional Hospice Home 686 Jeff Davis Drive Spartanburg, SC 29303 or Rosecrest Retirement Center 200 Fortress Drive, Inman, SC 29349.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks of appreciation to Rosecrest Retirement Center and Regional Hospice Home for the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Brady.
