Mr. Vance Z. Morris, 94 of 120 Loop Rd., Campobello passed away peacefully Sunday, March 1st, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Morris was born in Campobello, SC on October 29, 1914, the son of the late William Ervin and Mattie (Wolfe) Morris. He was the widower of Iva Sue (Green) Morris.
He is survived by 1 daughter: Joyce Simmons and husband J.D. of Moore, 1 son: Jesse Morris and wife Nan of Campobello, 1 sister: Frances Storey of Landrum, 1 grandson: Wally Gregory and wife Katie of Weston, CT, 2 great grandchildren: Julia Ann and Tripp Gregory of Weston, CT, 2 step grandchildren: Dean Simmons of Moore, Brenda Beason of Crouse, NC and a special nephew: Johnnie Greene of Campobello.
Mr. Morris retired from Bommer Industries and was a farmer and was a member of North Pacolet Baptist Church
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 5th, with Rev Tommy Turner and Chaplain Michael Caldwell officiating.
Burial will be in North Pacolet Baptist Church Cemetery, Campobello, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Journey to Hospice, 420 The Parkway, Suite N, Greer, SC 29650.
