Tony Eugene Reid, 68, of 135 Douglas Lane, Duncan, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at his residence. A native of Spartanburg, Tony was born on April 21, 1947, a son of the late George W. and Cassie Ochiltree Reid. He was the husband of Rose Marie Edgens Reid for over 32 years. Tony was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired as a long haul trucker and then started working for Southeast Transportation. Tony was of the Methodist faith. In addition to his wife, Rose Marie, Tony is survived by one daughter, Jessica Reid of the the home; two step-daughters, Teresa Wilkerson of Duncan, and Dana Vicars of Lyman; one step-son, Kelly Riddle of Chesnee; one brother, Jack Douglas Reid of Inman, 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and a dear friend Frances Manning of Duncan. Tony was predeceased by one brother: Jerry Dean Reid. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 12:00 noon until 1:45 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Buddy Robbins. Interment will be held at Wood Memorial Park in Duncan. The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Regency Hospice, 880 South Pleasantburg Drive, Suite 1-A, Greenville, SC 29601.
