William Thomas "Tommy" Reid, 82, of Inman, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Tommy was born in Gramling, SC on February 25, 1938, a son of the late Annie Lula Crocker Reid and Sam Reid and was the widower of Wilma Cash Reid.
He retired from weaving at Startex Mill and attended Holston Creek Baptist Church.
Tommy is survived by a step son, James Mitchem of Inman, a son; Tommy Reid of Gramling, a daughter; Cathy Calvert of Gaffney, two brothers; Irvin Reid of New Prospect, Ralph Reid of Gramling, two sisters; Lib Wyatt of Gramling, Virginia Motts of Pacolet, thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by a son; Chris O'brien, a daughter; Debbie McDaniel, a grandson; Tommy Calvert, five brothers; Grady Richard, James, Roy Gene, Herbert, and Keith.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 12th at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC with Rev. Sean Fortner and Dr. Reggie Parker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holston Creek Baptist Church, 311 Holston Creek Church Rd, Inman, SC 29349.
