James "Tim" Watson
James "Tim" Watson, 57, of 309 Wimberley Drive passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Tim was born in Spartanburg, SC on July 26, 1959, a son of the late Flora Dee (James) Watson and Taylor Forrest Watson, Sr. He was the husband of Wanda (Toney) Waddell, a graduate of Dorman High School, and a longtime employee of concept Packaging having dedicated over 32 years of service. He attended Westgate Free Will Baptist Church in Spartanburg. Tim was also a member of the Polk County Gun Club and NRA. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Lauren Watson, of Inman; Meagan Watson, of Inman; a step daughter, Crystal Hall (Brian), of Inman; a step son, T. J. Scruggs (Brandi), of Spartanburg; a brother, John D Watson, of Gaffney and four grandchildren, Brayden, Carsten, Malachi and Briley. He was predeceased by a brother, Taylor Forrest Watson, Jr. The family will receive friends Saturday 1:15 — 2:15 PM at Westgate Free Will Baptist Church in Spartanburg. A memorial service will be held at Westgate Free Will Baptist Church at 2:30 PM on Saturday, June 3rd, with Rev Kevin Smith and Mr Dave Katt officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 600 Celebrate Life Parkway, Newnan, GA 30265.
