Thurmon Clifford Poston, 93, of 168 Riverbluff Ext. Inman, and formerly of 130 Poston Rd., passed away Wednesday, March 23rd, at his residence. Born on June 24, 1922, he was a son of the late John Grover Poston and Nora Robbins Poston. He was the widower of Helen Powell Poston. Mr Poston retired as an automobile mechanic and was a member of Alverson Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by three daughters, Joan "Jill" Stewart of McDonough, GA, Debbie Lynn Foust of Greensboro, NC, Tess Gutierrez of Inman; one son, Larry M. Poston of Arlington, TX; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends 10:00 until 11:00 Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Alverson Grove Baptist Church. A graveside will follow at 11:00 am conducted by Rev. Curtis Daniel in Alverson Grove Baptist CHurch Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alverson Grove Baptist Church, 3695 Peachtree Road, Inman, SC 29349.
