Thomas Eugene "Jr" Workman

Thomas Eugene "Jr." Workman, 80, of 107 Crestview Drive passed away Thursday, April 25th, at his home. Mr. Workman was born in Mill Spring, NC on December 29, 1932, a son of the late Leroy and Essie Mae (Hudgins) Workman. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth (Anderson) Workman having celebrated almost 63 years of marriage. He was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church and was a retired diesel technician. Mr. Workman worked at General Truck Sales in Spartanburg over 25 years and then was the Owner /Operator of Jr. 's Diesel Service over 15 years. He also worked at Willard Oil Co. several years. He served as an Auxiliary Policeman for the City of Spartanburg and served in the National Guard.
Other survivors include two sons, Kenneth Workman (Wanda) of Inman, Rick Workman ( Close friend Crystal Vess) of Easley, SC two daughters, Ann Ravan (Mike) of Inman, Linda Farmer (Kenny) also of Inman, two brothers, Edward Workman (Debbie) of Spartanburg, Jerry Workman of Inman, four sisters, Margie McAbee of Inman, widow of Louis McAbee, Tressie Bradey (Delano) of Green Creek, NC, Betty Kimmons of Inman, widow of Johnny Kimmons and Mary Horne (Jacky) of Inman. There are eight grandchildren, Keith Workman, Casey Smith, Melissa Gencarelli, Amanda Harris, Kristen Cobb, Travis Ravan, Haley Workman and Lacey Workman. There are eight great grandchildren. Mr. Workman was predeceased by a brother, Roy Workman and a daughter in law Denise Workman.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Mark Cannon.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately after the service.
Interment will be private in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC. The family is at the home.
