Thomas "Tom" Clayton Short
Thomas "Tom" Clayton Short, 67, of Inman, SC, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia on December 23, 1950, he was a son of the late Mr. John Thomas Short and was raised by his grandmother, Mrs. Fannie Short. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Joyce Tinsley Short who passed away in Feburary of 2014.
Tom work for Milliken for over 20 years and was the owner/operator of Short Haul Trucking. He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason, Shriner and member of the Spartanburg Shrine Club.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela "Angie" Gizara and her husband Mike of Suffolk, Virginia; granddaughter, Samantha "Sami" Gizara; brother-in-law, Douglas Tinsley and his wife Martha of Spartanburg, South Carolina and five nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Seawright Funeral Home from 10:00-11:00 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Champ Champion officiating. New Prospect Masonic Lodge #143 will perform Masonic Rites in the chapel following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to: Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605.
