Jesus came and took Bert home on Thursday, February 4, 2021. His goal in life was to share Jesus with everyone.
He was the husband of Jasamine "Jaye" Simcox Sanders, having celebrated forty eight years of marriage.
Bert was a United States Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era, a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg, where he was a member of the WWJD Fellowship Sunday School class.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Sanders is survived by two daughters, Andrea Cobb and her husband, Andrew, of Inman, South Carolina; Stacey Childers and her husband, Eric, of Spartanburg, South Carolina. He is also survived by his pride and joy, his five grandchildren; Delaney Childers, Kyndall Childers, Rylen Childers, Shane Cobb and Tyler Cobb.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021, from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM, at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at, 2:00 PM, at the funeral home, conducted by, Rev. Terry Lanford. A private interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chosen Children Ministries, 9420 Asheville Highway, Inman, South Carolina 29349.
