Mr. Thomas Foch Cooper

Wellford, SC ---Mr. Thomas Foch Cooper, 89, of 1871 Ballenger Rd. Wellford, passed away, Thursday, July 31 st, 2008 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness.

Mr. Cooper was born in Greenville, SC on October 10, 1918, the son of the late John James and Tessie Irene (McCauley) Cooper. He was the loving husband of the late Nellie (Bass) Cooper having celebrated 57 years of marriage.

He was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church. He was a great father and husband who worked hard all his life, and was an inspiration to us all.

He is survived by two sons, Steve Cooper of Inman, Rick Cooper of Inman; three daughters, Dotsy Norton of Inman, Mary Gosnell of Inman and Marty Covil of Spartanburg; one brother, Douglas Cooper of Greenville; four grandchildren, Matt Smith, Justin Carter, Jessica Carter, Adrienne Gosnell; four great grandchildren, Makensie Smith, Seth Smith, Reagan Claghorn and Jessie May.

Graveside services will be held at Inman Cemetery at 11 :00 AM on Saturday, August 2nd, with Rev. Ansel Norris officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home, 1871 Ballenger Rd. Inman, Friday, August 1, 2008 from 6-8 PM.
