Theodore "Junior" Garrett
Mr. Theodore Monroe Garrett, Jr, 81, of 325 Chapman Road, Pacolet passed away Friday, April 15th, 2011 at Golden Age in Inman.
Mr. Garrett was born in Spartanburg, SC on March 2, 1930, the son of the late Theodore Monroe Garrett, Sr and Elizabeth (Ward) Garrett.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Pamela Garrett of Inman, Denise Hollis Smith of Lexington, SC, 3 sisters: Frances Thomas, Martha Hall, Brenda Garrett-Dorman, 4 brothers: Kenneth, Jerry, Tommy, and James Fred Garrett. Six grandchildren and one great grandson also survive him. He was predeceased by a daughter: Cynthia Warner and 2 brothers: Donald and Mack Garrett.
He was owner and operator of Garrett's Plumbing, was of the Baptist Faith and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Mr Garrett enjoyed raising and training hunting dogs and was a avid hunter.
His daughters are at 651 Foster Road, Inman and the remaining family is at their respective homes.
Graveside services will be held at Jonesville Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 17th, with Rev Dean Elliott officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Rd. Spartanburg, SC 29303.
