Boiling Springs, SC---Mrs. Thelma Hart Fowler, 90, of Boiling Springs, SC, surrounded by her loving family went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Born in Union, SC on February 17, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Kate (Herring) and Edgar Hart, Sr. and was the widow of Harold M. Fowler whom she married on November 18, 1948 and celebrated 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2003. Mrs. Fowler was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church until closing and then Central United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She is survived by two daughters, Gail Sanders and her husband David of Boiling Springs, SC and Anne Webb and her husband Johnny of Inman, SC; four grandchildren, Matthew Sanders (Kenna), Catherine Lee Wise (Rusty), Holly Barrett (Stephen) and Chris Webb (Autumn Camp) and seven great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Barrett, Skylar Barrett, Savannah Barrett, Kolby Cox, Linley Wise, Maddie Sanders and Baby Wise. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at the United Methodist Church of the Covenant, 9020 Asheville Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29316. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the church with Chaplain Laura Jones and Rev. Dan Blair officiating. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC. The family would like to express a special thank you to Wesley Court Assisted Living and Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for all the love and care given to Mrs. Fowler.
