Teresa Taylor Sims, 75, of 351 Morgan Road, Wellford, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on December 5, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Doris (Acton) Taylor and Jonas Taylor and was the wife of the late Dennis Arthur Sims having celebrated 51 years of marriage before his passing in 2015.
She was a member of Inman First Baptist Church and worked as a shipping receiving manager at Flowers Bakery.
She is survived by one daughter, Heather Smith and husband Stacy of Gray Court, South Carolina; one son, Jarred Sims and fiancé Carmen Rochester of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; two sisters, Sharon Oleskiewicz of Danville, Virginia and Joan Mahaffey and her husband Hiley of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Natalie Taylor Sims, Dylan McAbee and Sheriff Dillard and her two fur babies, Maggie and Tanner. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by one brother, Terrance Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:45 PM at Seawright Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.
Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chad Jordan officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Solesbee, Colvin Waters, Gavin Waters, Anthony Kiker, Dylan McAbee and Sheriff Dillard. Burial will be in Little Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
