Teresa Thrasher Conrad

Teresa Thrasher Conrad, 56, wife of Larry Conrad passed away November 12, 2010 after a five year battle with cancer. Mrs Conrad was born July 14, 1954 in Spartanburg the first child of J.C. and Mildred Morris Thrasher of Spartanburg. She was a granddaughter of the late John L. and Mattie Champion Morris and the late Earl and Pauline Shehan Thrasher. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son Travis Conrad of the home. Other survivors include sisters: Sherry Holt (Mike), Kathy Thomas (George), brothers: Mike Thrasher, Steve Thrasher (Rosemary), Neal Thrasher, Johnny Thrasher (Bromley), nephews: Dillon Holt, Justin Thomas, nieces: Sandy Thrasher, Sara Thrasher, aunts: Lillian Morris, Hoyet M. Wall (Edwin), uncle: Glen Thrasher and several cousins. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law: Vera Conrad and father-in-law: Eldon Conrad.
She was employed by District One School System and was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg where she was a choir member and the Boomers Bible Study Class. Her very deep and unfailing faith carried her through her illness. She loved and appreciated her church family and her family of friends in School District One; including Chapman High School, the bus drivers and especially the children at Inman Elementary and Campobello-Gramling Elementary Schools.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Monday, November 15, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at First Baptist North Spartanburg. Funeral services will follow in the church at 4:00 PM conducted by Dr Michael Hamlet and Rev Terry Lanford. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund of First Baptist North Spartanburg, 8740 Asheville Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29316.
Her family extends their heartfelt thanks to everyone for their many acts of kindness and overwhelming support.
