Teresa Lynn Ruppe Champion, 57, of 121 Wingo St., passed away Monday, January 23rd, 2017 at the Regional Hospice Home, Spartanburg, S.C. Teresa was born in Biloxi, Mississippi on December 21, 1959, a daughter of Linda (Crow) Ruppe of Inman, SC and Raymond Ruppe of Gaffney, SC. She was the precious wife of Freddy Champion and a beloved daughter, mother, sister and Wyatt's "Mimi". She was a hard worker and a generous, giving person. She had worked at Millikin Research Center as the catering manager and was a member of the Beech Street Presbyterian Church in Gaffney, SC. She attended the Inman Presbyterian Church and was a proud member of the Plum Hollow Family. Teresa fought a long, hard, courageous battle with cancer. Other survivors include her daughter, Ayla Camp Boonyobhas and her husband Louis of Clarksville,TN, a step-daughter, Heather McDowell and her husband Judson of Spartanburg, SC, a brother, Josh Ruppe of Atlanta, Ga., a sister, Beth Ruppe Dyson and her husband Bob of Mooresville, NC, a nephew Ben Dyson and a grandson Wyatt McDowell. She was predeceased by a brother, Danny Ruppe and her maternal grandparents, Jess and Inez Crow and paternal grandparents, Alvin and Zarah Ruppe. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 3:00 to 3:45 PM at Seawright Funeral Home with a memorial service following at 4:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Beth Hoskins. The eulogy will be delivered by her daughter, Ayla, her sister Beth and by Diane Arnett.
