Tandy Cleveland Gosnell

Tandy Cleveland "Cleve" Gosnell, Jr., 96, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, SC. Mr. Gosnell was born in Spartanburg County on January 11, 1922, and was the son of the late Tandy Cleveland Gosnell, Sr. and Beola McElrath Gosnell. He was the beloved husband of Katherine Elizabeth (Shands) Gosnell and was a lifetime member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was a member of the Arch Lynch Sunday School Class, a former deacon numerous times and served in many capacities at the church. He was the Owner/Operator of Inman Feed and Seed and was a WW II Army Air Corp veteran serving from 1942 to 1946. He was in the 317th Fighter Control Squadron of the 312th Fighter Wing and served in China for a year. He was a member of the 14th Air Force Association and enjoyed being in the John Dodd Boys. Surviving in addition to his wife, Katherine is a son, Chick Gosnell and his wife Linda, one granddaughter, Jodi Gosnell, a great granddaughter, Scarlett Dill all of Simpsonville, SC. and a nephew Chuck Nesbitt and his family of Marietta, Ga. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 1:00 to 1:50 PM in the sanctuary of Mt. Zion Baptist Church with a "Celebration of Life Service" at 2:00 PM conducted by the Rev. Rob Gouge and the Rev. Monty King. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at his home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either: Mt.
