Steven "Hard Rock" Cook
Steven R "Hard Rock" Cook, 74, of 172 Inn View Drive, Inman, SC, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg.
Steven was born in Clover, SC on January 28, 1947, a son of the late Mary Lee (Gibson) Cook and Merton Cook.
He was the husband of Debbie (Moss) Cook, retired from Morgan Corp and was of the Baptist faith. He was also a member of the New Prospect Masonic Lodge #143.
In addition to his wife, Steven is survived by two daughters, Carmen Cook Milner and husband Kyle, of Spartanburg, SC; Heather Cook Stokes, of Boiling Springs, SC; two sisters, Marion Talbert, of Brown Summit, NC; Esther Childs, of Seneca, SC, 6 grandchildren, Megan Green, Campbell Milner, AK Milner, Ella Cate Stokes, Layton Stokes and Janie Stokes. He was predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient.
Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 16th at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs with Rev Hudson Neely officiating. The family will receive friends at the gravesite immediately following the service.
The family is at the home of his daughter, 1095 Partridge Road, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
