Stephen P. "Kool" Harmon, 66 years old, born in Union County, SC, passed away on December 18, unexpectedly, at the "Cliffs at Glassy Golf Resort" , a place that he loved.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, this January 1st, Carolyn Strange Harmon of Inman. Steve was predeceased by his parents, James Lloyd Harmon and Norma Patrick Harmon of Pacolet; In addition to his wife, he is survived by sisters; Sharon Harmon of Pacolet, Suzanne Tinsley of Spartanburg, and Miri Snyder of Pacolet, and he was also survived by loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and so many terrific friends.
He had special friends at Duke Power Compnay, where he worked for 38 years. He was a member of Woodfin Ridge Country Club where he loved his golf buddies. The family will be at the home at 193 Ridgewood Drive, Chestnut Lakes, Inman and will receive friends Thursday afternoon 5:00 until 7:00 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 21 at 11:00 AM at Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by Mr. Chuck Gaines and Mr. Jeff Horton. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
