Sophie Lela Brigman

Spartanburg, SC---Mrs. Sophie Brigman, 98, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Polk County, North Carolina and was a daughter of the late James Floyd Thompson and Mae Thompson. She was a homemaker and a baptist. She was the widow of Robert Lee Brigman. Her survivors include two daughters, Mollie Mae McFalls of Landrum, Gerlean Atkins of Campobello, and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at Seawright Funeral Home Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 7:00pm conducted by Rev. Joe Geddes. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends 6-7:00 Thursday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Magnolia Manor of Spartanburg Activities Fund, 375 Serpentine Drive Spartanburg, SC 29303 or to The American Red Cross, PO Box 4002018
