Mrs. Shirley Eloise Watkins, 89, of 2381 Old Mill Road, Inman died Tuesday, November 30th, 2010 at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill, S.C.
Mrs. Watkins was born in Blacksburg on April 26, 1921, the daughter of the late June Baxter and Phenelia Dover Yelton who had lived in the Blacksburg community. She was the widow of Johnny Clayton Watkins and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Frances Wilkerson of Hickory Grove, SC; a brother, Billy Don Yelton of Blacksburg and Hollywood, Fl; a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Catherine Moss, Jenelle Strader, Colleen Grant, Pauline Yelton, Mozelle Yelton, and bothers; Eugene Yelton, Paul Yelton, and James Yelton.
Funeral services will be held at the Seawright Funeral Chapel at 1:00pm on Friday, December 3rd, conducted by Dr. Paul Moore. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Friday 12:00 until 1:OOpm at Seawright Funeral Home.
Burial will follow the service in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, SC.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731 or to a charity of one's choice.
