Shirley Faye Smith, 65, of 348 Crest Drive, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at her residence after an extended illness. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Shirley was born on March 2, 1950, a daughter of the late Ralph and Antoinette Walker Gay. Mrs. Smith was a retired self-employed wholesale distributor with team apparel companies and was of the Baptist Faith.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of thirty years, Ollie S. Smith, Sr. of the home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son William Aaron Money of Inman, South Carolina; her daughter, Karen Money Hall and her husband Johnny and their children: Jonathan, Cameron and Elizabeth all of Medina, Ohio, a stepson, Ollie S. Smith, Jr and wife Tina and their children Alicia, Amber, Amanda and Shari all of Jacksonville, Florida; a sister JoAnn Garey of Jacksonville, Florida and three great-grandchildren. Shirley was a beloved wife, mother and "Nana" and will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Gentiva Hospice, 15 Brendan Way, Suite 100, Greenville, South Carolina 29651.
